Nothing came easy for Crestwood Red Devils Varsity on Monday, as they fell 9-2 to Harvey.

Crestwood Red Devils Varsity opened up an early lead in the second inning when Jacob Spaeth singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Harvey took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Blake Brozik singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Connor Bates doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Christian Rael took the win for Harvey. The hurler surrendered two runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out six.

Kyle Gregel took the loss for Crestwood Red Devils Varsity . The righty surrendered five runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out one and walking one.

Spaeth led Crestwood Red Devils Varsity with three hits in three at bats.

Harvey totaled eight hits in the game. Bates, Brozik, Avery Anderson, and Jaden Debevec all had multiple hits for Harvey. Harvey was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Anderson made the most plays with ten.
