Crestwood Red Devils JV watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-0 loss to Garfield on Thursday. Garfield scored on a single by Sommer, an error during Selander’s at bat, an error, a walk by Dieringer, a walk by Swigonski, and a walk by Sommer in the first inning.
The Crestwood Red Devils JV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Garfield, giving up 14 runs.
Garfield fired up the offense in the first inning, when Sommer singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
