The Crestwood Red Devils captured the Lew Speece Invitational championship on a perfect Saturday at Mineral Ridge, beating 2nd Garfield among others by 51 points!
Travis Horner earned the ‘Running Events’ MVP by winning the 1600 an 800, along with anchoring the winning 4×400 relay team that included Henry Horner, Aidan Gutglueck and Evan Daniels. Henry Hoover also had an outstanding day finishing 2nd in both the 1600 and 800 right behind Horner. Louis Blasiole won the 100 and 200 dashes while anchoring the 2nd place 4×100 relay team that included Andrew Lusk, Daniel Masiello and Kaya Hickin. Mason Daniels won the High Jump while finishing 2nd in both the Long Jump and the 110H.
Other fantastic efforts on the day came from Andrew Lusk (Long Jump and 200H), Evan Daniels (High Jump and 400), Daniel Masiello (110H and 200H), Jordan Brisentine (Shot Put and Discus), Kyle Gregel (Shot Put), Aidan Gutglueck (400), Samuel Miller, Jacob Rowe and Ezra Turner (4×200 relay), and Kaya Hickin (100 and 200).
