Brett Koch is in his 1st year as the Athletic Director & Dean of Students for the Crestwood Local Schools. He has spent the previous three years as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Field High School. While at Field, Brett coached Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Golf. He was an assistant coach in 2017 for the Field Falcon baseball team that went 22-1, won the PTC Metro, and was ranked #3 in the OHSBCA final rankings. Prior to Field, Brett taught Physical Education for two years at Old Brooklyn Community School in Cleveland, Ohio. During this time he also served as the Junior Varsity Baseball coach at Westlake High School. In addition, he has coached baseball at both Perkins High School in Sandusky, Ohio and D.H. Conley High School in Greenville, North Carolina. Brett is a 2003 graduate of Perkins High School. He attended Ohio University where he majored in Sport Management with a minor in Business. Brett spent the next three years working in Minor League Baseball. He interned one season with the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, where he served as a sales and promotions assistant. Brett was then named as the Director of Promotions for the Hickory Crawdads, the Single-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. During his time in Hickory he instituted a “grassroots marketing” campaign that helped lead to an increase in attendance of over 10,000 fans during the 2010 season. Brett then enrolled at East Carolina University to pursue his Health and Physical Education licensure. While at ECU he worked in the athletic ticket office and assisted with gameday ticket operations. Additionally, Brett was a member of the Kinesiology Majors Club and was the recipient of the 2012 Kinesiology Department Outstanding Student Award. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Hudson, Ohio with their new son Jack and dog Callaway.
