Game Recap

After finding their heart in the 2nd half, Crestwood came back to beat the Bombers of Kenston 3:1 for their final soccer match of the 2017 season on Monday afternoon. After holding Crestwood scoreless in the 1st half, Kenston scored in the opening minutes of the 2nd half, putting the Red Devils down 1:0. However, your Red Devils dug deep and found a way to win the match with a spirited final 20 minutes of the match. Summer Larch knotted the score up at 1 ALL with a goal, assisted by Olivia Young. Gracie Schweickert then found the back of the net with 10 minutes remaining to give Crestwood their first lead of the match. Larch then scored with just under 3 minutes remaining to seal the victory over a strong Kenston squad. Captain Ava Mory, along with goalie Bella Leister and defenders Justine Elliott, Emily Marek and Lexi McKenzie played a strong match to help Crestwood move to 12-2 on the season. A huge congratulations to ALL of the girls for making this a highly successful season. Coach Coia and Coach Wright could not be more proud of each and every one of you!
